Our new state-of-the-art cancer facility nestled between the oaks of the Roper St. Francis campus in West Ashley. Services and treatments include Medical Oncology, Hematology, CT- Computerized Tomography, Bone Densitometry, diagnostic testing and clinical research. In partnership with Roper St. Francis, we also offer a Café' and Boutique on the first floor.
Departments
Every member of our supporting staff at Charleston Hematology Oncology Associates is dedicated to providing whatever support is necessary to enhance the level of care provided to our patients.
Nursing and Medical Staff:
Medical Oncology is a service provided by a team that consists of Medical Oncologists, Oncology Nurses and various medical staff. This team plays an important role in the care of cancer patients by providing education to the patients and their families about various forms of cancer and the temporary side effects of cancer treatment.
Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy is a planned treatment of cancer. The side effects can vary depending on the chemotherapy regimen received. Throughout the treatment, cancer survivors are closely monitored by the healthcare team. We have an excellent nursing team that is a great source of cancer care information and can answer any questions that may arise during treatment.
Laboratory:
Charleston Hematology Oncology Associates maintains a CLIA certified lab in our offices. Our certified lab technicians and phlebotomists are experienced in handling patients with care in an oncology setting. Lab results are processed quickly and efficiently so that the physician can review them immediately.
Patient Financial Services Department:
Our billing and insurance department is staffed with the most knowledgeable representatives who can assist you with any questions that may arise during your care. Our billing representatives are experienced with all types of insurance plans and will be happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have during your treatment of care.
